I'm a former public school teacher whose life changed dramatically when I became a mom. Now I'm really interested in living naturally.   I even started a new site for eco-conscious parents in my area, the Central FL Green Guide.

I was always very driven and never imagined staying home with my children, but that was before I met my son. Now I'm a “Work-at-Home Mom” and am loving every minute. I missed so much of my son's first year when he was in daycare but have not made the same mistake with my daughter. I also am now a proponent of homeschooling which I didn't truly understand before I had my own children. We're no longer in the “rat race” and are striving for a more peaceful life for our children as well as a hands-on educational environment that nurtures their natural love of learning.

I've wanted to be a teacher ever since I was a little girl, so I truly am living my dream. Actually, it's better than I ever imagined because I'm not dealing with the constant struggles that I faced as a classroom teacher. We may have to be a bit more frugal than we were on two incomes, but life is better than ever now that we have more time to spend together as a family.
